So, after reading how you can setup all parameters of presets in an app, I decided to take the chance! The app is accessible with Voiceover!! I will have a demo of using the app soon. you are able to choose the amp head, and Ajust volume, gane, bass, mid, trebel. You are able to choose and also set fx parameters. Then you can save your selections to a preset. The next time you want this preset, you can just choose it on the physical amp versus needing to go into the app. You connect the amp to Bluetooth through the app, but it is not the same as the audio Bluetooth for listening back to backing tracks. This is awesome because you can use earbuds or glasses or whatever to hear what voiceover is reading you about the amp selection without it going through the actual headphone amp. The feature list list by directional recording. I didn’t know what this meant, but the previous version of the amp did not take over audio output. Only audio input to voiceover would still come out of your phone if you wanted it that way. This version does take over the input and the output, but, the loop back so to speak or what is coming out is not recorded. I have never used anything accessible like this for tweeking amps and fx, so this is a dream in my book! A few factory presets below.
Man, it’s been way too long since I posted a cool engine sound! There were construction workers outside the house tonight, they were using a generator, and using a welder connected to the generator. Lawn mowers, go karts, leaf mulchers, and generators, generally speaking, use the same type of engine. This engine normally in a lawnmower revs at a G sharp, in a mulcher or generator, a B or a C. Go kart C to see sharp. I believe they were overpowering the generator tonight, it would quickly jump up to an F! Craziness. It died on them multiple times and they kept restarting it. Luckily it didn’t blow up in their face. Listen to the audio below. There’s multiple sounds in this audio they were using a saw as well cutting metal, but when the motor started to jump and be under strain was when the welder was switched on.
A lot of microphones have a phones output for monitoring. The issue this causes us as Voiceover users, is we lose speech, without having a pare of headphones.
This little speaker is just a bit bigger than a golf ball, and has a built-in eighth inch plug on the side. I am using it with the Rode Video Mic Plus, and it works perfectly. It’s light weight, so as not to put to much extra force on the USB C plug going into my phone. It’s just around 15 bucks US, and charges via USB, not, USB c. Check it out here.

This guide will assist in setting up StationPlaylist creator, StationPlaylist Studio, along with iOS Shortcuts and apps to Voicetrack from an iOS device. At the time of writing, the StationPlaylist team have not rleased a VTRemote client app for the iOS platform, as they have for Windows, Mac and Android, allowing you to track in. This method assumes that your song intros have been previously set so that the automatic setting will allow your voicetracks to automatically ramp..
What you will need:
A copy of StationPlaylist Creator, and Studio pro.
An active subscription to Dropbox, (can be free or paid).
An iOS device, preferrably an IPhone.
A copy of recorder HQ, (Paid app). (Appstore link below)
Lets first setup Stationplaylist:
Creator:
Open StationPlaylist Creator, you will land on the list of tabs that you may down arrow through.
Down arrow to, “HTML / VT Button”
Press space to verify this is selected.
Tab to: “Enable HTML Playlist check box not checked” and press space to check this.
You will then be prompted, “Enter the name of your station Edit”
This will be prefilled with the information you used when purchasing your StationPlaylist product. If you need to, change the information, and tab to and press space on the OK button.
You will then be prompted: “Enter the URL of your Homepage Edit”
This will be for your stations website. Fill this in with the appropriate info, tab to ok, and press space.
You will then fall back to the HTML VT page.
Press tab to reach: “HTML Playlist Include All Playlist Details check box not checked”
press space to check.
Tab until you reach: “Voice Track Options Generate VT Filenames check box not checked”
Space to check.
Tab once to reach: “Voice Track Options seconds Edit”
This is the title of an edit box. It’s default information is below: mmmdd-hhnn”-%u””.WAV”
Because we are using the M4A format we want to change this too:
mmmdd-hhnn”-%u””.M4A”
We are just changing the info within the last pare of quotes.
Tab down until you reach:
Voicetrack Folder Edit:
You want the VT’s folder you have created in Dropbox to be the path here:
Example:
C:\Users\Radio\Dropbox\StationPlaylistVT’s
Tab down until you reach: “Voice Track Recording Application VT Recorder radio button checked”
Up arrow to reach: “Voice Track Recording Application 3rd party radio button checked”
This is the last thing you will need to change on this page of Creator. Don’t worry about the “Third party app” edit box, and button.
Tabbing until you reach the list of pages again, up arrow until you reach: “Rotations Button”
and press space to verify it’s selected.
We now want to add Voicetrack markers where we want DJ’s to be able to voicetrack. There is no right or wrong method to this. If you don’t have a set spot, you may add a marker wherever you see two songs in a row, (not where you find imaging/sweeps.)
Tab over to the list of rotations and start from the top down as we will need to add markers in each rotation we want DJ’s to track.
Pressing enter on the chosen rotation, tab, or shift+tab to reach the list containing it’s elements, (Rotation). This is where you see the entire hour scheduled out.
Press home to reach the top, start arrowing down until you find two songs in a row.With your cursor on the second, Tab until you reach:
“Insert VT Marker Button”
Press space. You will land in a dialogue, in an, “Estimated Duration 00:00 (mm:ss)” edit field. You may or may not change this. Just remember not to put VT Markers to close to the bottom of the hour as those tracks may not play if you leave this at 0.
Tab to ok, and press space. You will land back in the list view, on the VT marker. You may control+C to copy this to your clipboard, and arrow down the playlist pasting this, Control+V, where you want DJ’s to VT.
When you are done, press home, and down arrow through your rotation verifying everything looks correct, then, tab to ok and press space. This is the last thing you need to do in creator. As you alt+F4 to exit, you will be asked if you want to save the changes, please choose, yes.
Please note that new playlists have not been created, including the HTML versions along with the VT markers. You may choose to create playlists for today, which will overwrite what is currently playing, or wait until the next scheduled time for creation, suggested.
StationPlaylist Studio:
We now want to verify that the mini web server is enabled, and you know it’s port base.
Within Studio press control+o, to reach it’s options.
Down arrow until you reach: “Communications Button”
Press space to verify this is selected.
Tab over to: “TCP Tab”, which should be already selected. Press space to verify.
Tab until you reach: “Mini Web Server Enabled check box not checked”
Press space to check this.
As you tab again, you will reach the port base. “80” is the default HTTP port, you will have to have this open on your router so that DJ’s from outside your network may access this server.
As you continue to tab you will see two edit boxes that state:
“Mini Web Server IP Restriction Edit”
One of these is for a password, one is actually for IP restriction. You don’t need to fill either of these out.
Tab to close and press space to exit the options.
You are now done with settings in StationPlaylist. After playlist creation, access HTML playlists by hitting:
You will need to download/add the following two shortcuts to your Phone/Home screen:
My Station’s Playlists: This will bring up your HTML playlist files in Safari. You will have to edit the shortcut to adjust the default IP Address, (Local Host) and port base, (Currently set to 80). https://www.icloud.com/shortcuts/5f132c883e374250bcf5ebb111037347
