So, I started hosting an open mic a couple months ago at a local pub, though it’s only been a short time, it’s already been rather rewarding. Practicing and learning new material, running live sound, MC-ing, and hearing fresh talent is something I’d never bargained for before this opportunity. It used to be only radio, which really gave me a high, but now? I’m picking up my guitar at least once a day, It’s been a lot of years sence I’ve been their, and, for some reason? the floodgates have opened, and I’ve got a lot of song ideas buzzing around my head from morning till night.

My goal, is to get the song out of my head, into reality, and I find Suno helps me with that a lot. I’m not just talking about prompt ingeneering, but rather, recording at least a guitar part, throwing it into Suno, getting a track back, editing the track, writing lyrics, recording vocals on top of that AI track, and then, throwing the mix back into Suno, and getting a great track back. For me, I still get all of the song writing experience, but don’t have to carv out 8 to 12 hours to create the track in Logic. This first one, popped into my head this week, and I was able to knock it out, in only 2 hours today. It’s called, What we see. It’s country Trap. When I heard the Chorus in my head, I thought Morgan Wallen on it, but, I do think Russle Dickerson, may take the cake. Listen below.

The second track I wrote a few weeks ago. I heard it in my head in the Morning, in the shower, and it was Automatically, ed Sheeran could take this to number 1. I wrote the guitar, which, I wanted to be just a keyboard. I wrote and sang the vocals, and when it went into Suno? It came back? sounding a lot like Ed’s vocal. It’s called, Just Sayin. I’ve thought on it for some time, and, I think this song may be my best song writing yet… It’s a very fuckin powerful song for me. I thought of the lyric writing process, as if, I was writing a letter. I’ve not taken that approach before.
