This post will be updated.
The main reason I’m posting this now, after only receiveing the battery last night is to report that the MagSafe batteries charge, does show up in the batteries widget of the Today screen, though you don’t need to connect the battery pack via Bluetooth. I figured Apple had this sorted, but wasn’t for sure.
The pack is around the same thickness of the IPhone Air, and attaches right below the camera bar. It fits flesh with the rest of the back of the phone, even in a case. You can pick up the phone, by the phone or hold the battery pack no problem. Apple’s Magsafe pack doesn’t get very warm, and seems to support passthrough charging, you may chare the backup battery via USB c, as well as charge the phone via the batteries wireless charging.
I’ll update you next weekend on this post with my first weeks use of the pack.
