so I hear this commercial probably 10 times a day at work. It’s a ironic funny take off the Backstreet Boys song, I want it that way.

so let’s get geeky for a minute. The song was recorded in the key of a, the commercial, they’re trying to do it in the key of G Sharp. I say trying, because of the fact that the first solo voice that is talking back to the lady that is smelling the shirt, is a bit sharp of G sharp. then, they come back in with a huge chorus of people singing the song, and it’s closer to G sharp. So every time I hear it, it drives me up the wall! So, I auto tuned it. Before we get there, though, here is the original commercial without any autotune the way it’s meant to be heard.

so, either, you are now pissed at me for sharing this with you because you are as well annoyed, or maybe it doesn’t phase you. The last bunch, you are lucky 🙂 my question is, why didn’t they do both of the singing takes in one session. And of course, why didn’t they autotune it! So now we’re there. This is honestly obviously just to be pretty funny. I don’t think that the commercial should actually sound like this. However things are of course closer to G sharp all around. It’s funny to hear people talk with auto tune on and of course I did it as hard as I could. ! Enjoy, the autotune version of the commercial.

now, before I go, I’d be remiss if I didn’t say, go buy you some Downey products.
