Use case. This package includes the JAWS scripting written by Drew Weber, and other helpful files and shortcuts you will need to setup your own pocket Windows 11 box, just like I have.

The mini PC is just a little bigger than an IPhone, and cheeper than the latest ictor Reader Stream. Yes, it can and has been tested with a 1TB Micro SD card. I’ve got over 500 GB of music on mine.

Requirements:

1. HIGOLEPC Mini PC Windows 11 PRO device. Amazon link:

HIGOLEPC Mini PC Windows 11… https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0C7QTHRTJ?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

2. A Copy of JAWS 2024.

3. A USB Keyboard for setup.

4. Stationplaylist Suite, including, Creator, studio, VT Remote.

Note: VT Remote will come in handy when you are remoting into another PC with Stationplaylist setup including VT Server. Creator and Studio on this device are in part for making this the Bad Ass Media player with mustle! and assumes you will use creator and studio as an automation package, and does not, currently support live assist, including enabling microphone or line in, stopping and playing tracks within Studio.

5. Winamp

Things you may want to have:

Case for the Mini PC to clip it on your belt:

LefRight Multi-Purpose Utility… https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0817TZ5XZ?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

Cheep USB microphone that has a built-in gooseneck, which will fit into the top velcro flap of the case with the computer. If this mic sounded as cool as it was built, it would be so dope!! It’s argueably worth more than the $16 you’ll pay for it just for the build factor alone.

I’ll stop here, and get to the FAQ’s everyone has on the brain.

Q: Do I have to use JAWS 2024?

A: Yes.

Q: Why?

A: Because I include already compiled scripts.

Q: Do I need to have a valid license for JAWS 2024?

A: Um. If you want to run it for more than 40 minutes at a time, yes.

Q: Can I use NVDA on the Mini PC?

A: Sure, but you get to figure out how to work it.

Q: Are you going to code this project for NVDA?

A: No.

Q: Are you going to release updates?

A: Probably not, but, maybe so. I’ve got the box doing exactly what I bought it for.

A: I don’t plan on providing any. Sorry.

If you have the Audioproc DSP plugin, you may use the

Audio Processing for Cheep Mic

which I have configured to make it sound a bit better.

Inside this folder you have the folder,

Put contents Inside Windows C

Do just what that says copy the folder, SPL Audioproc Default, into your C drive.

In this folder we have,

setupCheepMic.bat

This will delete the AP preset out of the Winamp folder if it’s there, and add the new one. It will then launch VT remote. This is useful if you, like I do, use multiple presets between Studio and VT remote and don’t want to manually switch them. You may use the concepts in the batch script, to write another, which will allow you to keep your existing Audioproc preset so you may switch between the two of them.

If your not switching presets, you may just drop the

AP_Preset01.ini

into your Winamp folder and not worry about the batch script at all.

Enjoy your new Bad ass media player! I plan to enjoy mine for years to come! It’s everything I’ve always wanted in a media player and a lot more!
